Great idea Bula!

I'm currently working in the field of usability testing - I evaluate websites and web applications to see how effectively and efficiently people can use them to get their work done. Then make suggestions to make it better.

My Master's is in experimental social psychology with a specialty in research and statistics. So basically I can set up a study to get at what you want to know and then run the best statistical analysis to either confirm or disconfirm your intitial hypotheses.

If anybody has a statistics question, just ask me!

Sis,

if Africans had learnt to identify each other's strength

and pull together, maybe the North-South divide wouldn't

have been as wide as it is today, innit?

Engineer

Studied the fine art of Chemical engineering, though working in another (lets say more exotic) engineering area.

I bet if we all put our expertise together, we could sort out lots of Ghana's problems... well the practical ones.(not anything like social/traditional problems.. older pple are always right, grease my palm etc)

I'm 20 years old, still unsure of what I want to do for sure in life. But a few events have lead me to believe that I want to be a performer. I think that I've always wanted to dance but I never let myself fully realize it. So hopefully I won't change my mind and stick with performing arts. I also love to write fiction, though I haven't had a chance to lately. I love poetry and composition from different periods in history. I am absolutely enamored of nearly every musical form, mostly reggae at this point in my life. I love learning new languages, photography and designing clothes on occassion. So I guess I have a natural inclination toward artistic expression.

Anyone in business/managment,that's what i'm doing now.Three days only into the course and i'm totally loving it.it's totally different from mechanical engineering.I think MBAs are life courses and all engineers should do a course in it after their degrees. After all the technical stuff an MBA will teach you common sense and broaden your outlook.Plus there're great prospects too.You also stand a better chance of making your engineering make sense to people.

I decided to declare my major, and it will be in performance music. I will be studying piano for the next year or so and hope to study french horn performance after my second year is complete. I've found my niche! :)

I've been known to do a bit of lingerie modeling "on the side" :P

I bet you do well, I know from your avatar you look fantastic in lingerie!

Apology to Zulu for not taking this thread seriously. I just had to comment on JD's comment though.

I was trained as an elementary school teacher but I ended up working government. Not sure really what my talents are there....

I do know that I work well with children and enjoy teaching them. I also work well with animals, especially dogs. I have been quite good at training dogs to behave.

I second that!

I work in the legal field - Now mainly contract and patent litigation (which is boring :cray: ), But I used to do medical malpractice, personal injury, and subrogation work, plus dabble in family law and criminal. I just took the LSATs this month, so who knows where I will end up!

Interesting words, Ewiase - I am fortunate that I have a wonderful job, and prospects ahead - But I definitely would not consider myself an elite professional as a result of that. I do alot of pro bono work here - with low income, single moms, disabled, etc... Two things have always stuck in my head - One is from when I was 16 and worked at a summer camp - we had one girl that attended who had MD and was profoundly retarded - the slightest thing would make her happy - The director once said that on the day of your death, she would be sitting at the right hand of God, and explaining how you had treated her in life. The other thing that has always stuck with me is "There but for the Grace of God go I" - It only takes a second for your life to change, and material things to disappear.
